Holiday Wishes

Kolby's preschool Christmas program - his class sang "Happy Birthday, Jesus."
Kolby and Kaysen enjoying the Christmas ornaments before they got put on the tree.  Kolby loves to reenact the scene from Star Wars with his snowspeeder and AT-ST.

Auntie Gail knitted these stockings for us so that Santa has a place to put our goodies.  Kolby got a Tom Brady jersey and Kaysen got stacking cups. No favortism - Santa's just practical.

From our family to yours - we wish you all the best. May your 2013 end peacefully and your 2014 be magical.  We have much to be thankful for this year with our two healthy, happy boys and can't wait to see what 2014 brings.

Kaysen is 6 months old!

Happy Thanksgiving!  We are so thankful to have family and friends like you!

Kaysen weighs 15.25 lbs and his head circumference is the same as his height.  The math teacher in me didn't believe that was true; pi is amazing.

This is an excited boy showing off his first tooth!  Look carefully on the bottom...it's barely broken through the gum.
Since Kaysen is 6 months old now, he can eat vegetables.  Can you guess what he ate?  Carrots!

...until next time!

Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween, everyone!

PBS Kids Club invited us to a costume party with Daniel Tiger!

Kolby went to Aloun Farm's Pumpkin Patch twice this year!  When he went with school, the rule was to pick a pumpkin you can carry - this one barely made the cut.  The pumpkin in the middle was Dad's pumpkin.  Guess what he carved?  Answers on the bottom!

I found my toes!
Working on Kolby's pumpkin.

Kaysen sported 4 different costumes this week to pick up his big brother!

The divided family (Ryan and Kolby as Star Wars characters; Kristi and Kaysen as Despicable Me characters...bonus points for you if you can name Kristi's character!)

The Trick-or-Treat gang this year: Clone Trooper, Izzy, Ninja Turtle, Jake, & a Red Ninja.  Kolby was really into it this year.  He took the lead on many houses and was a real trooper till the end...never complained and even asked someone passing out candy, "Do you like my costume?"
Ryan carved all of these pumpkins that we picked from the pumpkin patch: Minions, Patriots, Storm Trooper, & Boba Fett.  He swears that next year, there will be only two, regular size pumpkins.

The year is passing so quickly...the holiday season will be here before you know it!

Kaysen is 4 months old!

It feels like just yesterday we were bringing home this tiny, helpless being...and boom, he's 4 months old...sitting at the dining room table with us and eating like a big boy.

Kaysen weighs 14 pounds, 3 oz and is 25 inches now.  He loves to smile and giggle.  He even cracks himself up just looking around.  Whenever we go out, everyone comments on how chill he is; just so observant and taking in the scenery.  It's true - he's rarely fussy and much easier to read (or maybe it's because we're experienced).

Doctor gave the okay to start solid foods and Kaysen was so excited to join us for dinner. He sat quietly and waited patiently until it was his turn to eat.

Caring big brother: Now that Kaysen is more active, Ryan brought up the container of Kolby's old toys.  Kolby came home from school one day and saw it in Kaysen's room.  His eyes lit up and naturally asked, "What's this, Mom?" I told him that they were for Kaysen, but not to touch them because they were dirty and needed to wiped down.  Kolby said, "I'm so excited" with the widest grin and went to get wipes to clean the trucks.  ...and to think I almost scolded him for touching the wipes.

Micah's first time holding Kaysen with Kupono photobombing.  Haha, just kidding!

love to you all!
