2 months already?!

2 months have flown by in the blink of an eye.  Kaysen weighs 12 lbs, 9 oz already and is 22+1/4 inches long. He's in the 75th percentile for both height and weight!  (too bad none of the pictures do his size justice - you need to see him.)  Either we lived and learned from Kolby (who barely hit the 25th percentile at any of his doctor visits) and are feeding this baby more or Kaysen's just bigger...whatever the case, we are just glad that he's healthy and we are all doing fine.
Kaysen is so different from Kolby already...besides size, Kaysen can just fall asleep on his own.  Ryan just propped him up on the pillow and within 5 seconds, Kaysen's eyes rolled back and he was out.  Granted though, this kid takes cat naps unless it's night time in which he will sleep a good 6-8 hours straight.  Woo hoo us!  We did, after all, pay our dues with Kolby.  Let's just hope this keeps up!! (Knock on wood!)

Kolby is a protective big brother.  No one can play with baby's toys (not even Dad!) or take baby home.  Case in point: Auntie Wendy asked Micah if she could take Kaysen home and leave Micah with Kolby.  Micah said okay, but Kolby quickly said, "No.  He lives here." To which Micah replied, "So rude!" Yes, Kolby still adores his li'l bro and always loves to lie next to Kaysen on the futon.  "Mom, take a picture." Whenever baby's crying, "Mom, baby's crying" and he'll go an lie by baby or at least try to pat Kaysen.  For some reason, Kaysen is mesmerized by his big bro and just relaxes when big bro is near.

The boys reading "Dinotrux" before bed.
Update on Kolby: He's been in preschool for about a month and a half now - absolutely loves it and doesn't want to come home.  He will complain if he gets picked up "early" (4 pm).   He is being very defiant and we hope it's just a phase that will quickly pass.  Any advice?  We'd love to hear from you!  Till next time... XOXO
