Kaysen is 4 months old!

It feels like just yesterday we were bringing home this tiny, helpless being...and boom, he's 4 months old...sitting at the dining room table with us and eating like a big boy.

Kaysen weighs 14 pounds, 3 oz and is 25 inches now.  He loves to smile and giggle.  He even cracks himself up just looking around.  Whenever we go out, everyone comments on how chill he is; just so observant and taking in the scenery.  It's true - he's rarely fussy and much easier to read (or maybe it's because we're experienced).

Doctor gave the okay to start solid foods and Kaysen was so excited to join us for dinner. He sat quietly and waited patiently until it was his turn to eat.

Caring big brother: Now that Kaysen is more active, Ryan brought up the container of Kolby's old toys.  Kolby came home from school one day and saw it in Kaysen's room.  His eyes lit up and naturally asked, "What's this, Mom?" I told him that they were for Kaysen, but not to touch them because they were dirty and needed to wiped down.  Kolby said, "I'm so excited" with the widest grin and went to get wipes to clean the trucks.  ...and to think I almost scolded him for touching the wipes.

Kaysen hugging Kolby.

Micah's first time holding Kaysen with Kupono photobombing.  Haha, just kidding!

love to you all!

Shutterfly brotherly love book

3-year old homework?!

Kolby had an assignment to (in a nutshell) create a model home out of anything you want, but keep it fairly small so everyone's house could be on display in the classroom.  The point was not necessarily the end product, but the time to work together.  Here's how ours turned out.

Kolby did all the painting and decorating.  He even put the Lego beds together.  This took us almost a week to do, but we are very proud of the end product.

...and a bonus picture :)  Now that our crown flower plant is actually flowering, we have more caterpillars now and we've been raising them.  Kolby even took some to school so everyone could watch the metamorphosis.

I've got my eyes on you...

More evidence that Kaysen enjoys his big brother:

Kolby is reading to Kaysen and helping him feel the book.

Talking story....  Kaysen will even turn on his side toward Kolby so he can see him better.

That's it for now.  Check back soon for a 4-month update...
