#2, 18 weeks

If you didn't already know...SURPRISE - our family is expanding in 2013.

Not that you really want to see another pregnant belly, but I figured I should be fair for baby #2 who might see all the attention that baby #1 had and wonder where his/her spotlight is...  Enjoy it while it lasts baby!
I am much bigger than I was last time around already...people have asked (jokingly, I hope) if it's twins.  We are expecting for his/her debut sometime around May 23.  Fortunately, I haven't had much of the pregnancy side effects other women go through.  (Well, the ones that affect me, such as morning sickness...you can ask others about the moodiness - haha!)

In about a week, we have an ultrasound appointment when we get to see the baby and hope that he/she is healthy....and of course, the gender.  Stay tuned!

2012 Rewind

Sorry it's been so long between posts.  Trust me, it's harder to decide which pictures to post now that I have a year's worth to go through.

January 2012: Moved in to our new house.  Kolby transitioned really well out of his crib and into this toddler bed...Of course, it's not purple anymore.  He says, "I love my new home!" and we are so glad.

February: Enjoying all the space!  Kolby loves to draw anywhere - especially chalk in the garage.

March:  Kolby can finally climb up on our couch all by himself.  He loves to watch TV.

April: Kolby took the cover off all by himself and started to dig around for who knows what toy...and got stuck.  Luckily, he didn't fall in.
Kolby is also into technology.  He loves playing on the iPad.  He learned so quickly to swipe and to hit the "home" button.  (Currently, he's really into Angry Birds (Star Wars in particular)  and Bad Piggies.)

Easter Egg Hunt at Manoa Park.  Kolby sprinted across the gym and ended up finding a prize-winning egg!

`Iolani Family Fair - Lion Dance costumes before they start moving is okay, but once they are in motion it's time to just stare and hope they don't come near.  Same thing with this cool helicopter ride.  He was so excited to sit in the cockpit with cousin Micah, but Kolby didn't even last one round before wanting to get out.  Maybe next year he'll try again.

May: We found a chrysalis hanging in our greens bin.  On Mother's Day, this butterfly hatched and Kolby got to hold it before it flew away.  Super cool!!

Dad's favorite team and player's jersey - Tim Duncan.  Every time they watch basketball, Kolby needs his jersey and sweatband...then runs around the house to find his basketball.   Grow Kolby, grow!

June:  Went to a birthday party where the balloon artist can make anything your heart desires including pink cement mixers!

July: First visit to Chuck E. Cheese and a fire station.  I don't know how many times he rode this ride.  Luckily the rides are only one token each.  Kolby was the first fireman to don the helmet, but was too afraid to shoot water from the hose.

July 4th: A day of naughty.  This was the tip of the iceberg...He was awfully quiet, then Ryan found him with his back against the door and arms trying to cover the evidence.  Guilty!  He colored on his door and this is his mugshot while cleaning the door.

Mom's birthday: Kolby looked at the menu and found what he wanted - Sakura Roll.  He flipped a few more pages and pointed to the same thing.   This was his first experience eating sushi.  Hopefully the sushi chef wasn't watching.  Kolby did love the tobiko though.

August: Bon Dance @ Koganji Temple in Manoa.  Didn't dance, but loved the food - Teriyaki corn & the Kimono Dog!

 Cool sand sculpture at Hanalei Beach.

September: Another butterfly being released.  This time, we raised it from the caterpillar stage.  It ate and ate and ate.
 Cool guy...with dad's sunglasses.

October: Cool police motorcycle on display at the Children and Youth Day festival.  Kolby is mesmerized by motorcycles and construction equipment.

~~~ Pumpkin Patch ~~~  Dora, Diego, and Map ~~~
~~~ Ryan's pumpkin carving skills on display (Yoda, Diego, and the Flying Ace) ~~~

 So glad they brought back the Happy Meal boxes - they make great helmets!

 November: Potty training is more cool with these Diego football underwear.

December:  Decorating our first Christmas tree in the new house!  Notice his favorite ornament - the Snow Speeder from Star Wars.  It did not stay on the tree very long.
Picture on the right:  "Dad, what you doing?  Me too, me too!" Buzz, buzz...

...and the result...a much more rascal looking boy.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours!
