A Long Time Ago...

Micah got to hold me and there are pictures to prove it. This was one of my first times visiting him at his house. Can you guess how old I am?

Coming soon are more recent pics of Micah and me hanging out together.

[I am about 7 weeks old.]

5 months

As of June 17, I weighed 15 pounds, 10 ounces and was 26 inches long.

I
am pretty consistent at drinking from the bottle - even in my sleep. Ha! I have tried all the single grains. My favorite is poi and my least fave is oatmeal. I am so jealous of everyone who can eat "regular" food. My gaze will follow the food from plate to your mouth. Doc said I can eat puffed rice to help me with my hand-mouth coordination - that is, your hand to my mouth for now. I will grab your hand and shove it into my mouth. I'll keep practicing. At first, it was weird to have a solid piece in my mouth, but now I like it!

What a peaceful sleeper I am. I turn myself onto my side and back while I sleep.

Auntie Marcie, Kayla Rei, and Uncle Kyle at Auntie Kim's house. What a nice house. Where's Auntie Kim? Too busy being a hostess...

I am a total mover now-a-days so Mom doesn't have much time to herself. Plus, I miss her when she's not playing with me. She has to go back to work soon - so sad! (But I'm glad she got to stay home this long with me.)

Happy First Father's Day!

Good morning, Dad! It's your day. What shall we do?

Look at all the books I got you so you can read to me. I love to read!

Picnics are so much fun! Here we are at Kaka'ako Park. This was my first time seeing the ocean.

Pool Party!

It's my first pool party @ H. Hotel. Look at me stand on the grass.

Micah says, "come join me in the pool."

I love it when daddy tickles me!

Micah, Kupono, Tan, and me in the pool.

"Wow, that's a low price!"

Pool party over...till next time!

Picnic @ Moanalua Gardens

I love to look out at the leaves blowing in the wind, so Dad decided that it'd be a good idea to take me out on a picnic for Memorial Day.

So Many Firsts!

This month, I did so many things for the first time:I slept in my crib. (Thank you Lucas' for letting me use the crib.)

Picnic @ Foster Botanical Garden with Auntie Rachel and Gabrielle (and Auntie Mirjana too, but she's not in the picture).

Picnic @ Moanalua Gardens with Mom & Dad (more pics of this later)

Not a first, but a cute picture :) I have learned to roll over onto my back though...and "creep" to things that I want so I can put them in my mouth.

Auntie Arlene came from California to visit with me. Aren't we cute together?

Uncle Akira (and Auntie Julie) came over to watch a fight with my Daddy.

...well, actually, something IS wrong -- I have a fever!
What you lookin' at? Where's my teether?

...never mind, these work better.

Here's my first tooth coming in -- no wonder I had a fever and the need to massage my gums. Stop trying to look at it -- it bothers me.

Children's Blessing

On May 15, Koganji Temple held their annual Children's Blessing, but this year they also included a fair with games, food, and taiko drums. Can't wait to go to the bon dance!
We first gave an incense offering and a floral offering, then Bishop Rose gave a blessing by splashing him with water. Later, Bishop Rose went into the temple to pray for Kolby's health.

Torao = Tiger
Mom's wearing Koganji's "tiger" shirt in my honor because I'm too little to fit it.
